A storm has struck the north-eastern part of Malta. The winds are running as fast as 100km/hr.
The waves not only flooded the streets but also the beaches in Xemxija, located on San Pablo Bay.
The town witnessed a rare phenomenon: the streets were filled with fish deliveries.
A local media report says,” The fish were from the local fish farm and it landed on the streets due to the high waves.”
Waves up to a height of 5 meters were expected in some areas and many locals called this scene as “biblical.”
